Bayfront Health Brooksville and Spring Hill Appoint Chief Nursing Officer

Misty Freeman, R.N., MHA, BSN, NE-BC has been appointed chief nursing officer of Bayfront Health Brooksville and Spring Hill. As a nurse for over 24 years and a nursing leader for nearly 20, Misty considers herself a transformational leader whose passion is to inspire and empower others to create efficient ways of providing exceptional care to patients.

In her most recent role as ACNO of Oak Hill Hospital, Misty implemented strategies to improve unit performance and patient outcomes. Her strong operational capabilities in clinical transformation, emergency services, and critical care medicine drive her ability to develop creative processes to bring about improvement.

Misty holds a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of North Alabama and a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Phoenix. She and her husband Wade celebrated their 25th Anniversary this year. As former college athletes, they are both sports oriented and enjoy spending the majority of their free time outside doing yard work, going to the beach, or playing golf.

We are confident that Misty’s skills and experience align with the needs of our community hospitals and that she will provide strong and effective nursing leadership for Bayfront Health Brooksville and Spring Hill.
